Famous Nigerian singer and record producer, Augustine Kelechi, better known by his stage name, Tekno, has given a hint that he is planning to release an album soon.
The singer took to his Instagram account on Monday, July 2, to announce that he will be dropping the album soon.
“Album soon… But #choko first,” he wrote on the post.
The announcement comes barely less than a month after he signed a distribution deal with Universal Music Group Nigeria (UMGN) and Island Records.
The deal introduces Tekno and his unique brand of music to new and exciting markets and further re-establishes him as one of Africa’s biggest singer, song writer and producer.
It should be noted that Tekno is by far the only A-list artiste to have attained his status without an album.
Just a few days back, renowned Canadian rapper, who just released his much anticipated album “Scorpion,” expressed an attitude of gratitude to artistes who inspired him in the body of works and Tekno made the list.
The rapper took to his Insta Story to share share songs from different artistes like; Brent Faiyaz’s Make Luv, Flipp Dinero’s Leave Me Alone, 03 Greedo’s Sweet Lady, Tekno’s Jogodo, Wizkid’s Soco; and albums like Biggie’s Life After Death and 2pac’s All Eyez.
